If you've been looking for ways to make sense of the affordances of mobile and other technologies for learning, join our discussion on Making Sense of Elearning Technologies. We'll compare and contrast mobile and other technologies and review some techniques you can use now to put learning where users need it most.

Michael Frederick

Farmers Insurance Company

Michael is a Senior Instructional Designer for the University of Farmers, Claims in Agoura Hills, California. He specializes in creating and publishing elearning. He is proficient in many software applications and is a mentor to team members and ASTD associates on the proper use of technology in learning. Michael has held the CPLP designation since 2008. Michael lives and works out of his home in Mandeville, Louisiana.

 Cancellation Policy
As soon as you complete the registration process, you will be guaranteed a seat at this event. The completed registration process initiates an invoice from your ASTD Baton Rouge Chapter to you that may be paid online, by mail, or on the day of the event.

Your ASTD Baton Rouge Chapter may have to pay for your meal and other fees if you register and then cannot attend.  To help us protect your chapter’s finances, please submit cancellations at least 48 hours before the event.  Otherwise, we will have to invoice you to cover these costs.  If that should happen, we will be happy to receive your registration for future events as soon as you have settled your outstanding balance.  
 

What happens if I register and then cannot attend an event?
  
If you cancel at least 48 hours in advance, you will not be charged.  If you already made payment, we will be happy to issue a refund to you.  If you cannot cancel before 48 hours, you are welcome to send a substitute in your place.  Just send an email to treasurer@br.astd.org so that we can have materials prepared for that person.  This helps us ensure the person feels as welcomed as possible.
