Effectively partnering with the C-Suite for effective talent and performance management is a critical role the HR and Learning and Development Leader plays  in guiding and leading the organization’s change processes, overseeing talent management functions, and continually evaluating the effectiveness of programs related to strategic business goals is a necessary component of organizational success. HR and Learning and Development Leaders are responsible for developing, contributing to and supporting the strategic goals and objectives of their organizations.

In order to accomplish these key business strategies, they must effectively partner with senior leaders – and particularly the CEO - in order to effectively understand internal operations (finance, business development, sales, etc) and external factors related to the economy, technology, the business environment and specific industry trends.

This session will focus on providing HR and Organizational Development Leaders with information on how they can be effective BUSINESS leaders within their organizations. 

Program Objectives

  • The importance of effective HR Leadership within an organization and how GREAT HR/L&D can support and influence organizational excellence in areas such as Strategic Planning (short and long-term), Performance Management, Talent Management, and  Organizational Development
  • How CEOs and organizations benefit when the HR strategic plan (and focus) is aligned with the strategic plan (and focus) of the organization
  • How the HR Leader and HR professionals can best support and partner with the C-Suite to advance the strategic business objectives of their organizations.

 Speaker Details

C-Suite Panel includes Lenny Lemoine, CEO of The Lemoine Company, Brian Keller, Chief Marketing Officer of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana and Danny Hebert, Vice President of Human Resources of Community Coffee Company. They will be joined by their HR/L & D counterparts, Theresa Jones of The Lemoine Company, Kimberly Kochurka of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, and Kimberly Seeger of Community Coffee Company.

 Cancellation Policy
 As soon as you complete the registration process, you will be guaranteed a seat at this event. The completed registration process initiates an invoice from your ASTD Baton Rouge Chapter to you that may be paid online, by mail, or on the day of the event.

Your ASTD Baton Rouge Chapter may have to pay for your meal and other fees if you register and then cannot attend.  To help us protect your chapter’s finances, please submit cancellations at least 48 hours before the event.  Otherwise, we will have to invoice you to cover these costs.  If that should happen, we will be happy to receive your registration for future events as soon as you have settled your outstanding balance.  
 

What happens if I register and then cannot attend an event?
  
If you cancel at least 48 hours in advance, you will not be charged.  If you already made payment, we will be happy to issue a refund to you.  If you cannot cancel before 48 hours, you are welcome to send a substitute in your place.  Just send an email to vphospitality@br.astd.org so that we can have materials prepared for that person.  This helps us ensure the person feels as welcomed as possible.
