 Program Details
Regardless of the new opportunities you’re seeking (on-the-job or in your business), the typical meet and greet has become stale. And with all of the social media noise, the idea of networking has become downright confusing.  In this interactive workshop, Desiree H. Young of VentureWalk will review the steps to building connections that work for you and your goals. This session is about the how (or the simple process that makes master networkers effective) and the what (or the things you should be communicating to make real connections). After this presentation, you will leave with a concrete plan that you can put into action right away.
Program Objectives

In this program you will learn:

  • The difference between networking as a strategy and networking as a technology tool and why understanding this difference matters.
  • Why ditching the typical elevator speech is necessary to make a lasting impression and what to substitute.
  • The 3 critical steps you must follow to actually connect with people and how understanding this will make your networking effective again.
  • New methods to build connections that last versus another database of dead leads.
