  2. Help yourself keep connections with business associates by being useful in your communication with them

  3. Continue to grow your career by giving your closest friends and family the tools to help you 

About the Presenter: 

Julie Laperouse Chief Peacock
Screaming Peacock, LLC

 Julie Laperouse has been screaming all her life, but only made it a profession in the past few years. She has been competitively speaking since she was 12 and, in 2008, focused her career in this area, founding Screaming Peacock.

Screaming Peacock delivers high-energy, customized “motivational screaming” and trainings focused on helping others “put their best feather forward.”

Highlights of Julie’s professional career include:

  • Trained and spoken for organizations ranging from Nissan North America to the State of Mississippi to Sororities and Junior Auxiliary Clubs
  • Owned and operated two small businesses, worked in the not-for-profit sector and for a publicly traded real estate company
  • Customizes all trainings for the individual client on topics including networking and team building
  • Founder/President of Downtown Jackson Toastmasters and member of the National Speakers Association
  • Named by the Mississippi Business Journal as a “Person to Watch”
  • Recently published her first book, “Are You a Screaming Peacock?” which is a tag-along to her keynote speech of the same name.

Julie is a native of Jennings, Louisiana and received her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in Mass Communication with a minor in Theater.  Julie graduated Summa Cum Laude and was chosen as one of the top 25 student leaders her senior year.   She began her professional career in Dallas, TX as an Event Marketing Representative for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and has worked in commercial real estate for Parkway Properties out of Jackson, MS.  She also helped her husband Paul at the janitorial supply business they owned together in the Jackson area.

Julie and Paul currently live in Baton Rouge, LA with their daughters, Annie Grace and Peyton. Julie is active in her community and was honored to join Sigma Kappa Sorority as an Honor Initiate at their 2010 national convention.

Business Meeting: 11:50 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Pre-registration is required. No walk-ins please.
