How Do Your Programs Measure Up? Ways to Assess Learning Transfer and Application in the Classroom and Beyond

Knowing our programs are on target and that participants are taking away the necessary information has become essential as training budgets have tightened and resources have been stretched.  In spite of the challenges often associated with implementing program evaluation and training metrics in our workplaces, it is becoming more important to show how training is impacting the organization as a whole. The days of measuring training effectiveness and learning transfer by tallying attendance rosters and listing the courses provided during the quarter or fiscal year are quickly becoming a thing of the past. Join this session to discuss techniques and tips to assess learning transfer and application in the classroom and beyond.

In this session, you will:
  • Review multiple methods to assess learning transfer in the classroom
  • Review multiple methods to assess learning application on the job
  • Discuss ways to forecast learning assessment and application using the Phillips evaluation model
