Join us as we discuss how to motivate managers into becoming great leaders through coaching. Guest speaker Katie Sternburg provides a framework for coaching, as well as practical tips!

Speaker Details

Katie’s more than 25 years of professional experience is a blend of senior marketing leadership, entrepreneurship, independent consulting to business leaders, individual counseling and executive coaching. Since 2013, she has focused exclusively on coaching and leadership development consultation to a wide variety of organizations. She has contributed to the success of a long list of leaders by leveraging her proven coaching skills and business acumen.

Katie has coached leaders in industries including automobile sales, heavy industry, energy, engineering, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, petrochemical, retail, and utilities. She has supported clients from a variety of functional areas, from emerging leaders to executives, to address leadership efforts such as: performance improvement with individual contributors, clients who are transitioning from individual contributor to front-line supervision, clients transitioning from mid-level to director/executive level of leadership, and executive clients focused on team building, team development and succession planning. Additionally, Katie has facilitated workshops and series targeting leaders at various management levels.

Katie is a Licensed Master of Social Work, holding two Masters’ Degrees, in Social Work and Business Administration. Katie holds ACC certification as a coach and is a member of the International Coach Federation. She is a Certified Behavior Analyst, a Korn FerryTM Voices 360 ̊ certified coach and is qualified to offer a variety of assessment instruments including DISC and SDI.

Katie currently serves as a board member for several organizations including the Woodhall School (Bethlehem, Connecticut). She is Chair of The Emerge Foundation Board of Directors (Baton Rouge, LA). Past board experience includes Kids’ Orchestra, Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center, and Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.

 Cancellation Policy

As soon as you complete the registration process, you will be guaranteed a seat at this event.  The completed registration process initiates an invoice from your ATD Baton Rouge Chapter to you that may be paid online, by mail, or on the day of the event.

Event Cancellations received within 48 hours prior to an event may be eligible to receive a full refund.  Cancellations will be accepted via e-mail and should be sent to the VP of Hospitality at vphospitality@atdbatonrouge.org.  All refund requests must made by the member or credit card holder.  Refunds will be credited back to the original method of payment within 30 days from the date the payment was received.  Requests for cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund.

ATD Baton Rouge Chapter

Your ATD Baton Rouge Chapter may have to pay for your meal and other fees if you register and then cannot attend.  Please help us protect your chapter’s finances.  You can submit cancellations at least 48 hours before the event; otherwise, we will have to invoice you to cover these costs.  If that should happen, we will be happy to accept your registration for future events as soon as you have settled your outstanding balance.

What happens if I register and then cannot attend an event?

If you cancel at least 48 hours prior to the event, you will not be charged.  If you’ve already made payment, we will be happy to issue you a refund.  If you cannot cancel before 48 hours, please feel free to send someone else in your place.  Kindly send an email to vphospitality@atdbatonrouge.org so we can have materials prepared for that individual.  Our goal is to make sure that person feels as welcomed as possible.  :)
