Julie Laperouse, an expert trainer and facilitator with an impressive track record of training high-performing professionals, serves as director of training for Emergent Method.

Julie joined the Emergent Method team in 2015 after founding her own training company, Screaming Peacock, in 2008. In her role as CEO and lead trainer for Screaming Peacock, Julie worked with organizations ranging from Nissan North America and the American Society of Association Executives to various non-profits and volunteer organizations, challenging clients through customized training courses to focus on specific, fundamental business concepts such as leadership, customer service, public speaking, team building and more.

She is also an author, having published her first book in 2011, “Are you a Screaming Peacock?” which serves as a tag-along to a variety of public speaking engagements that she conducts across the Gulf Coast and beyond. Most recently, Julie served as director of the talent development program at the Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC.) Prior to her work at BRAC, Julie worked in fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in commercial real estate for Parkway Properties and co-owned a janitorial supply business with her husband, Paul.

Julie is a native of Jennings, Louisiana, and received her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University’s Manship School of Mass Communication with a minor in Theater while serving as a member of the prestigious Leadership LSU program. She is active throughout the Baton Rouge community and, in 2014, was named to the Baton Rouge Business Report’s “Forty Under 40” list.

In her free time, Julie enjoys running, cooking, throwing parties, and crafting with her four little peacocks, Annie Grace, Peyton, Beckett and Gentry.
