Join us as Dr. Charles Handler, an expert in the development, use, and evaluation of talent assessment tools, presents the cold hard facts about the value of these tools to your business.

Dr. Handler will share his experiences helping businesses to get the most out of their assessment programs and provide solid, factual information about the value of these tools. Dr. Handler will focus on debunking myths about the use of talent assessments for developing and selecting talent.

This presentation will be highly interactive, engaging the audience to present questions for discussion while addressing the following objectives:

Dr. Charles Handler is a thought leader, analyst, and practitioner in the talent assessment and human capital space. Throughout his career Dr. Handler has specialized in developing effective, legally defensible employee selection systems. Since 2001 Dr. Handler has served as the president and founder of Rocket-Hire, a vendor neutral consultancy dedicated to creating and driving innovation in talent assessment.

Dr. Handler has helped companies such as Intuit, Wells Fargo, KPMG, Scotia Bank, Hilton Worldwide, and Humana to design, implement, and measure impactful employee selection processes. Through his prolific writing for media outlets such as ERE.net, his work as a pre-hire assessment analyst for Bersin by Deloitte, and worldwide public speaking, Dr. Handler is a highly visible futurist and evangelist for the talent assessment space. Throughout his career, Dr. Handler has been on the forefront of innovation in the talent assessment space, applying his sound foundation in psychometrics to helping drive innovation in assessments through the use of gaming, social media, big data, and other advanced technologies.

Dr. Handler holds a M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Louisiana State University.

 Cancellation Policy
As soon as you complete the registration process, you will be guaranteed a seat at this event. The completed registration process initiates an invoice from your ATD Baton Rouge Chapter to you that may be paid online, by mail, or on the day of the event.

Your ATD Baton Rouge Chapter may have to pay for your meal and other fees if you register and then cannot attend.  To help us protect your chapter’s finances, please submit cancellations at least 48 hours before the event.  Otherwise, we will have to invoice you to cover these costs.  If that should happen, we will be happy to receive your registration for future events as soon as you have settled your outstanding balance.   

What happens if I register and then cannot attend an event?  
If you cancel at least 48 hours in advance, you will not be charged.  If you already made payment, we will be happy to issue a refund to you.  If you cannot cancel before 48 hours, you are welcome to send a substitute in your place.  Just send an email to vphospitality@atdbatonrouge.org so that we can have materials prepared for that person.  This helps us ensure the person feels as welcomed as possible.
